Twenty years of sales and marketing experience has lead Geoff to own and manage this business. He started out in advertising as a sales consultant for Fairfax in Australia, completing five years of coal face selling. After leaving Fairfax and heading to London, Geoff become a Business Development Manager for a global trade show company running sales campaigns across Europe and North America for Oceanology International, Offshore Europe and DSEI. Graduating from this role he went on to create Conferences for Euromoney and then became the Commercial Manager for World Business Research in London, leading a team of eight sales people and bringing in 10 million pounds of sponsorship income per year.
Once the decision was made to migrate back to NZ, he set up a sales training company in Christchurch, before joining Telecom as the South Island Manager of their Auldhouse business. Whilst at Telecom he doubled the profitability of his business and won numerous accolades including a Microsoft Partner of the year award and a Telecom Super Achiever Award. Now in his third year as the owner of TDM Events, his primary responsibility is Event Director for the Canterbury A&P Show and looking after any new TDM clients.
