Twenty years of sales and marketing experience has lead Geoff to own and manage this business. He started out in advertising as a sales consultant for Fairfax in Australia, completing five years of coal face selling. After leaving Fairfax and heading to London, Geoff become a Business Development Manager for a global trade show company running sales campaigns across Europe and North America for Oceanology International, Offshore Europe and DSEI. Graduating from this role he went on to create Conferences for Euromoney and then became the Commercial Manager for World Business Research in London, leading a team of eight sales people and bringing in 10 million pounds of sponsorship income per year.
Once the decision was made to migrate back to NZ, he set up a sales training company in Christchurch, before joining Telecom as the South Island Manager of their Auldhouse business. Whilst at Telecom he doubled the profitability of his business and won numerous accolades including a Microsoft Partner of the year award and a Telecom Super Achiever Award. Now in his third year as the owner of TDM Events, his primary responsibility is Event Director for the Canterbury A&P Show and looking after any new TDM clients.

With a background in account management, business development and experience in advertising sales, Kaylie brings a fresh perspective to her role at TDM Events. Having travelled all over the world, Kaylie has gained experience in a variety of industries, her particular expertise lies in client management and solution selling to resolve client problems and to achieve the desired outcomes. Kaylie finds there's nothing more satisfying than seeing a successful project come to completion.
Mel works tirelessly as Show Secretary for the Canterbury A&P Association. She provides administration support to committees, coordinates volunteers and lives in a flurry of entries, emails and phone calls. She is also the go-to-girl for all livestock and equestrian inquries for the Canterbury A&P Show. It’s a juggling act, creating positive relationships with a lot of key stakeholders, but Mel handles it with ease and flair.
Nicola began her career as a radio announcer before moving into the world of marketing and communications for New Zealand Young Farmers and The ANZ Young Farmer’s Contest. After a stint in the charitable sector in London, Nicola returned to New Zealand to continue working in the agricultural sector before bringing her skills to TDM Events. Nicola's diverse background in media, communications, marketing, design and events; along with her enthusiasm and ability to think outside the square helps ensure the best results for her clients.
Bindy began her career in the Travel Industry before travelling extensively for several years. She later worked in Travel and Tourism Education before joining the world of event management.
Bindy provides support on all our events and projects. As a TDM Events client you’ll get to know her well because excellent administration of client contracts is the backbone of our success. Bindy is integral to the running of the Canterbury A&P Show where she works on sponsorship, membership, show entries, ticketing, ribbons and trophies, delegations and much more. Along with all of this she also coordinates our Mint Lamb Competition and works on all other TDM events.
Effective financial management of client projects is an integral component of our success. Our in-house Accountant William began his career in the Chartered Accountancy environment and most recently worked for Deloitte in Christchurch. William has worked on a range of small to medium enterprises and brings with him a depth of knowledge. With a focus on output, William is driven to exceed client objectives and expectations.
With a background in Client Services and Management within the Corporate Telecommunications industry, Amy brings to TDM Events her strong organisational and administrative skills to manage the Canterbury A&P Association membership base as well as assisting with various other tasks that are required to keep the office running like a well-oiled machine.
Recently returning to the workforce after spending time at home with her young daughter, Amy is energised and motivated to put her extensive knowledge and experience back into good use within the Events industry. An excellent communicator, she is available to assist our clients with any of their requirements – big or small and highly enjoys supporting and assisting others to achieve their desired outcomes.
